What we do:
NDE (North Devon Electronics) was formed in 1974.
We are located in Braunton on the beautiful North Devon coast near Barnstaple and specialise in making coiled wire components for the electronics industry.
The components we make are supplied to companies throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and worldwide.
Electromagnetic coils are used in electrical engineering in devices such as transformers, electromagnets, inductors and sensors.
Our customers come from many types of business – aeronautical, audio, automotive, communications, hydraulics, military, pneumatics, power supplies, scientific, and medical.
We offer prototype and production services for many types of coil ranging from miniature windings, where the ability to wind very fine copper wire to exceedingly tight tolerances is critical up to much larger heavy duty transformers.
Some of our production is fully automated and in other instances for smaller volumes we use winding facilities that can minimise tooling and setting up costs.
We pride ourselves on being flexible and understanding the needs of various different customers.
